Now that I hit 115, I started looking at the crafted gear that is available. I have not seen all the recipes yet, so there may be exceptions to my general statements. Here are some details:
Most recipes are permanent, but must be bartered for 30 Silver Signets of Thandrim. The recipes are not bound, so you can get one and pass it to another crafter. There are some single-use recipes that make teal items.
Both ordinary and single-use recipes can crit to produce better items. The difference is not overwhelming. The recipes have multiple outputs, so you can choose different sets of stats.
The recipes all use "quality items" in addition to ordinary mats. Quality items are made from ordinary mats, but the recipe has a one-day (18 hour) cooldown.

Strong Board of Doomfold Wood |
Jeweller |
Refined Black Adamant |

Restored Doomfold Parchment |
If you have Doomfold-tier crafters in those professions, you may want to start stockpiling quality items so you have enough, for example, if you want to make multiple armour or jewellery pieces.
The crit crafted items have the same stats as the Ash barter items. (All the ones I've seen.) The Ash barter items can be used at level 112, but the crafted items are 115. You probably want to save your Ash for teal or gold items.
