ArchivesExchanging Featured Instance and Pelennor Instance ArmourIt is possible to exchange the 2-slot essence armour you get from Featured Instances for a different piece. It costs 15 Long-lost Coins to do a swap, and the swaps are somewhat restricted, but the box you get is Bound to Account and can be passed to other characters on your account. Because the drops are class-specific and Bind on Acquire, it is possible to get a piece for the wrong class. You can exchange pieces that you got for ones that you can use. Also, if you get a piece that you already have, you can swap it to get one you need. It may take multiple swaps, but you can turn any piece into whatever piece you want. You exchange a piece of Featured Instance 2-slot essence armour at the Featured Instance barterer in Bree (by the Boar fountain) or Minas Tirith (by the entrance). WARNING: THERE IS NO WAY TO SELECT THE PIECE YOU ARE GIVING TO THE BARTERER (If you have more than one, it just picks one). IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE OF THE ITEM YOU WANT TO BARTER, BE SURE THE ONE(S) YOU WANT TO KEEP ARE NOT IN YOUR INVENTORY WHEN YOU BARTER. It will not take an item that is equipped, but it will take it from your bags even if it is locked. Check that it says 1/1 for the item... I have often made crafting tools for players that need them, and I noticed that the Auction House never had many available. I decided to try making tools more available on AH to help starting and low-level crafters. At the time, I didn’t know what the demand might be. Perhaps the reason there were few sellers was that there were few buyers. It turned out there was a consistent demand, and after 366 days of selling an average of 11 toolsets per day, I recently sold my 4,000th toolset! Every crafter deserves Superior ToolsStarting with Helm’s Deep Update 12, lower-level crafters have been able to use vocation-specific toolsets, which replace the separate tools that their three professions use. This saves two inventory slots for the tools you aren’t using at the time, and avoids having to switch tools when you do something using a different one of your professions. When you complete the initial crafting quests, you get the three different tools for your vocation, and suppliers sell only a little better version of those tools. Better toolsThe toolsets that... Please let me know if you find errors or omissions of any sort.] Update 18.2Update 18.2 finishes the changes to Legendary Items since the level cap was raised in Update 18. There were many questions to be answered, since this was the first time the level cap was raised since Imbuement was introduced. First, there will be no Legendary Items or Imbued Legendary Items over level 100. The Westemnet recipes for crafting LIs will be the highest. Anflalas Scrolls of Empowerment and Delving, Star-lit Crystals and Crystals of Remembrance will be the highest tier necessary. Level 100 LIs will continue to drop from higher level mobs. Second, the tiers and final tiers were raised. The default legacy is given 5 more tiers, with 5 additional tiers available through the use of Star-lit Crystals, giving a final tier of 43. Other legacies are given 5 more tiers with 10 additional tiers available through the use of Empowerment Scrolls, giving a final tier of 59.
Notes on ImbuementIt took me a while to understand how Legendary Items (LIs) work and best practices for building them. The changes that added Imbuement to LIs will also... More by Michaleo on 2016-05-13 06:00:38 |
